Suzie Popielec, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
Community Manager
Suzie brings a broad skillset to her work as a seasoned community association manager. A subject matter expert serving age-qualified populations, she relies on extensive onsite experience in large-scale, gated, high-rise condominium, and traditional HOA settings. Suzie combines dedication to Best Practices with compassion, maturity, and kindness to engender trust and enrich the lives of her residents. She is devoted to the notion that there is a difference between "Property Management" and true Community Management.
A native of Pennsylvania, Suzie divided her college years between Penn State and Temple University, graduating cum laude with a bachelor's degree in advertising & marketing. She relies on thirty years of professional communications expertise to serve as the chairperson of the Public Relations Committee for the Central Virginia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. Suzie is a strong advocate for enhanced work-life integration for managers, and strives to be a mentor to colleagues within the metro Richmond community of professionals. Fostering advocacy, collaboration, and respect within the HOA environment is an enduring passion and ongoing endeavor for Suzie.
Decades as a Marine Corps family and transglobal travel/living enable Suzie to be flexible, open-minded, resilient, and resourceful. Outside of the office, you might find Suzie running a local 5k (slowly), traveling to visit her two grown sons, reading (but not quite finishing) a wide variety of books, relaxing on the beach, or doting on her beloved hydrangeas.
